About Us

About Ragan Lynch

Meet Ragan Lynch, Founder of Athletes Have Heart, a mother of four, a former track and volleyball athlete, and a three-time Open Heart Surgery survivor. My journey began at 6 months old with my first surgery, followed by a second at age 8. My most critical surgery came at 40 when I was diagnosed with a life-threatening aortic aneurysm during my fourth pregnancy. Five weeks after giving birth to my “Lifesaver,” I underwent my third and final surgery to repair the aneurysm.

Tragically, aortic aneurysms have claimed the lives of public figures like John Ritter, Albert Einstein, Lucille Ball, and Alan Thicke. My experience underscores the vital need for regular heart screenings.

In the early 2000s, I was inspired by stories of young athletes losing their lives to undetected heart issues. This led to the creation of the Athletes Have Heart (AHH) Ambassador Program, a commission-based fundraiser focused on raising awareness, providing education about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), and offering life-saving screenings.

We’ve made this mission a reality by partnering with the MCORE Foundation in 2023. Together, we provide heart screenings, raise awareness, and empower young athletes through our Ambassador Program, allowing them to earn income while championing our cause.

Our Mission

  • Raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
  • Provide life-saving heart screenings for young athletes.
  • Empower youth through entrepreneurship with the AHH Ambassador Program.

Every three days, an athlete tragically loses their life to SCA. Join us in spreading the message using #Every3Days to save lives.

Support our mission by purchasing your  Athletes Have Heart bracelet to help us protect the hearts of our youth. Together, we can make a difference.
